We are looking for a caring, patient and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil at a primary school in the L8 area. The pupil has ASD, is non-verbal, and requires personal care support. He is currently attending school until 10:30am, with the aim of gradually increasing his timetable until he is attending full time in the near future.

This role would suit someone who has experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly ASD, communication needs, sensory regulation, and personal care. The pupil needs time and space to regulate throughout the day, so a calm, nurturing and consistent approach is essential.

• Assisting with sensory regulation and emotional support
• Providing personal care support when required

• Be calm, patient, nurturing and reliable
• Be confident supporting a non-verbal child
• Understand the importance of sensory regulation
• Be comfortable providing personal care
• Be proactive around safeguarding and pupil safety
• Have Arabic language skills, although this is desirable rather than essential
