KS2 Teaching Assistant 

Location: Primary School, L12
Start Date: After May Half Term
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay: £14.50-£15.50 per hour + holiday pay

About the Role

This role is ideal for students, recent graduates, or anyone looking to gain experience in education, psychology, SEN or child development. You’ll support KS2 pupils in a primary school while building hands‑on experience that strengthens future applications for teaching, SEN support or educational psychology. You’ll be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help pupils thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality support across KS2 classes
  • Deliver small‑group interventions in areas such as reading, writing, maths and social skills
  • Offer 1:1 support for pupils with a variety of SEN needs, adapting strategies to individual plans
  • Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support where required
  • Contribute to planning and delivering targeted learning activities
  • Support the class teacher with preparation, classroom organisation and assessment
  • Promote inclusion, independence and positive learning behaviours
  • Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures at all times
