We’re seeking a confident, consistent General Teaching Assistant to support a Reception Class in a Primary School in L4. The ideal candidate will have Early Years experience.

SEN experience is preferred.

Hourly rate: £14.50 per hour dependent on experience (plus holiday pay)

Hours: 8:30am to 3:15pm , starting 2nd week in September!

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Reception class and team.
• Deliver intervention strategies set by the school to ensure consistency.
• Maintain clear boundaries while supporting engagement and emotional regulation.
• Supervise the pupil during lunchtime from 12pm, playtimes, and other unstructured times.
• Monitor safety, behaviour, and participation throughout the school day.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.

• Ability to be firm, consistent, and relationship‑focused.
• Strong awareness of behaviour support and de‑escalation.
• Reliable, observant, and confident in following structured plans.
